Situated in mid-western New Brunswick, the Grand Falls Region is within ready access to Atlantic Canada and Central Canada, as well to the New England States. The town of Grand Falls is the center of economic activity for the region which encompasses eight communities (Saint-André, Saint-Leonard, Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, Plaster Rock, Drummond, Perth-Andover, Tobique First Nation and Aroostook) and a population of approximately 30 000 within a radius of 30 km. The region contains valleys, high plateaus, two great rivers, and countless streams and lakes.
The mighty Saint John River runs through Grand Falls and rushes its way through the Falls and the deep Gorge. The town really lives up to its name with its spectacular Falls and Gorge, a major tourist attraction in New Brunswick. Transportation in the Region is easy with quick access points to its regional airport, the Trans-Canada Highway and railway shipping.
